Size
The VW Caddy has a load volume of 3.2 cubic metres along with a maximum payload of 857kg. There is no high roof option with the Caddy which can be a restriction compared to others in the category.
Access at the back of the Caddy is available through either asymmetrically split side-hinged rear doors or a lifting tailgate along with a side sliding door. Something unique about the Caddy is its ability flick the latches on the rear doors so they swing out to 180 degrees for better access. A ‘Flex Seat’ option is also available so that the passenger seat folds down to increase the maximum load capacity and length of the loading bay.
Engine & Economy
Efficiency technology comes as standard across the entire Caddy range. The Caddy can get up to 61mpg on diesel engines and up to 53mpg with petrol engines, making it competitive in terms of fuel economy.
The Caddy comes with a dual clutch gearbox DSG with the option of a 6 or 7-speed gearbox. To make the vehicle even more efficient, upgrade to the Bluemotion specification which offers aerodynamic improvements, revised gear ratios and lower resistance tyres to lower emissions and produce a 70mpg performance.
Safety Features
Safety features are generous with the VW Caddy. Along with full coverage of airbags - including driver, passenger and side airbags - Front Assist with City Emergency Braking now comes as standard.
